Canucks look to continue their dominance in 2011

  • The Canucks keep rolling along in the month of December.  If you listen to Vigneault tell it the Oilers are on par with the Canucks.  That's like saying it would be easy to touch the moon if you just stand on your tippy toes!  The Oilers are a pack of talented teens (except for the drunkard Khabibulin) having fun, not contenders for the hardest trophy in the world to win.
  • Alain also gushes about Jeff Tambellini's play and anyone who watched the game is starting to all as deeply in love with him as I am...  Ahhhhh young love
  • Cory Schneider is quickly becoming a fan favourite, which isn't hard if you NEVER lose any games.  He is starting to look like quality trade bait too.  Let's say Schneider and Bieksa for Raycroft and Richards?!  Toss in Raymond too to sweeten things (this would have been a slam dunk trade in early Novemeber, but though with Dallas near the top of the conference for a change they may decide to hold onto Richards after trade speculation dominated the early going)
  • Kevin Bieksa...... Ahhhh Kevin Bieksa...... The Canucks BlogSpot will be on the ONE Canucks Blog that doesn't trash Juice.  While his decision-making can sometimes be less than stellar I think it's because he has been squeezing the stick too much trying to duplicate his 42 points from the 06-07 season.  Before this season he was taking aside and they went back over his "role".  They'd be happy if he'd assume Mitchell's shutdown role, which relieved his need to stack up a lot of points which sees him at a +8 with 8 points through 33 games on a solid shutdown pairing with our new #2 Ham Sandwich
  • The Canucks take on the Philadelphia Flyers Tuesday at Rogers Arena, the Flyers without their goon Chris Pronger which will lessen Ryan Kesler's intensity for the contest, but if we know Kesler it won't affect his compete level much.  I went to the Decemeber 15th game versus Columbus where he scored his first hat trick (much to my surprise that it was his first) and I'll have to agree with Vigneault that he definitely is driving the bus
