Limited room available on the Canucks' bandwagon
It seems to be a weekly occurrence, if not daily, that Canucks "fans" decide their team is worthless, doomed and jump ship and start watching... idk... soccer?
As the truest Canucks fan around I am proud to say that I think we are going to win the Stanley Cup this year! Mind you I think that every year and, if Nathan Lafayette could hit something other than a post, I'd have been right at least once :) But truly Canucks nation, THIS IS IT!!
1st line: Burrows, H. Sedin & D. Sedin 2nd line: Kassian, Kesler & Booth 3rd line: Higgins, Roy & Hansen 4th line: Pinizotto, Lapierre & Weise... Which other team can boast 3 lines with that much skill and finesse? NONE!
1st pairing: Bieksa & Hamhuis 2nd pairing: Edler & Garrison 3rd pairing: Ballard & Tanev... The envy of the league? I think so!
The latest concern surrounding the club is the fact that Roberto Luongo is still with the team. I'm not seeing the downside here? He'll be traded in the off season after our glorious Stanley Cup victory and we'll get a boatload of prospects back in the deal. What are we going to give him to Toronto for a bag of pucks!? Stop complaining about Gillis and try to haggle someone on Craigslist and see how good your negotiation skills are ;) Did we shore up our squad at the trade deadline? Ummm yes! Henrik Sedin, Ryan Kesler, Derek Roy and Maxim Lapierre all patrolling the middle, that's gotta give some teams concern... Roy on the third line!? An embarassment of riches, Cup or bust!
Also in the news this week Zack Kassian sent down to the Chicago Wolves for a "conditioning stint" read missed 8 games with a sore back and shouldn't be photographed at Bar None getting silly drunk during that time... I'm sure he took note! And I'm sure it will happen again, come on the guy is 22! 22! Get over it Vancouver, pretty please! Kassian is going to be Milan Lucic within 3 years, let's have some patience and show him some compassion!
